BLOG

Just 3 months back, I have come to know about this word . And now about its importance. Firstly, when I came to know about this then I have taken it as the assignments which we all have to do for clearing our TCOM module.

But today, I have understood its importance. This one is my 20th blog, and I am writing all these in this because this is the last blog of our assignment but not my last blog. Earlier when I wrote, then I don’t feel good because I was taking it just as my assignment, I felt myself pressurize. I thought already I am full of work, so many important things are there to do. I wanted to give more concentration on my programming as I was with the impression that clearing MGPT and computers module is important, but now I realized that your blog can become the mirror of your life. In this fast pace of life when you don’t get time to go to your native place, you find yourself helpless. You want to go to yours sister or brother marriage, but could not make it possible. And above all if you want to talk to someone, but no one has time to listen to you. And generally it happens that we don’t share each and everything with everyone who is known. And the person to whom you want to talk can be not in position to listen you at the same time when you want to tell him/her. This moment is really painful and and give the feeling of loneliness. At that time , you can write your feelings. Earlier people use to write on papers, but with the growth of technology we have the things like writing the blogs and posting it. It totally on you that you that to whom you want to give your Blog address.

In blogs, you can write whatever you wish to write, later you can also read it and realize whatever you have written is correct to what extent. Blogs writing is also a good practice to make your writing better.

At the start, I thought that once I will complete 16 blogs ( earlier it was told to us to write only 16 blogs for clearing TCOM module, but later it was increased to 20), I will not write any more. But, now I am finding a change in myself .

Actually, these days my routine is very hectic. I don’t get time to talk to my Mom and Dad in details, not even I think of meeting with any of my school friends who are in Bangalore. And, at night before sleeping when I think about my day time, then I realized that now-a-days, I am not giving time to any of my family members. And this makes me very upset, but I also know this is for a year only. But who knows, may be the person to whom I want to talk will become busy or even I will again be busy with my job. But one thing will be always with me as the mirror of my life – ya, my blogs about my feelings, blogs about my opinion on any issue, blogs about my thinking and blogs about my understanding.

I know it is something philosophical, but again it is true. I am not denying that everyone don’t want to write, but from my school days I like writing.
That time it was poems, but as everyone knows that changes are the part of life according to your likeness and needs. Now as I am not able to spend much time with my family and friends , so I have decided to write my feelings as my blogs whenever I will feel like that.

SA RE GA MA PA

Don’t you think that one of the best Musical show is on Zee T.V . Yes, I am talking about Sa Re Ga Ma Pa. This show has made an important place in everyone’s heart. Especially, the person who is the lover of musical program don’t want to miss it .

We all wait for Friday and Saturday night to watch this wonderful show. From 10 pm to 11 pm and sometime till midnight, you can easily find people sitting near the television. “Sa Re Ga Ma Pa “ was the oldest musical program which has given the chance to so many singers to perform on the stage and also so many participants have got opportunity to sing in movies. Now-a-days, every know very talented Sunidhi Chauhaan – yes, she was one of the contestant of this musical show.

The first host of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa was very talented Sonu Nigam . And now son of very popular singer Udit Narayan -- Aditya Narayan has got his first break as a host of a very popular program. If you will compare the age of first host and today’s host , then definitely found that Aditya is like his son.

That’s why it is said that people come and go but life never stop. In the same manner, show like sa-re-ga-ma-pa should never stop. This show has given the opportunity to so many singers, among those - so many are doing very well in his/ her career. I strongly feel that this is the most important aspect of this show .

Hey, I don’t know about you people but if somebody ask me about my favourite episode of this show then I will tell about that episode in which Sameer has sung the song “Tujhse Naraj Nahin Zindagi” and Deewakar has sung “Ek Pyaar ka Nagma hai”. Both songs come under my favorite list. Especi, ally, song sung by Sameer – “ Tujhse Naraj”, that day he had sung so well .
Very correct, I am talking about the sa-re-ga-ma-pa Little Champ. And these two guys are the first runner-up and second runner-up of that contest. And how can I forget to tell the name of the winner of that show, yes, she is a girl Sancheeta. All three were really superb. And see – at this small age they are touching the sky, they have made their parent proud and above all very secured career for themselves. But we should not forget that it is all because of Zee TV’s Sa-Re-Ga-Ma-Pa.

In this context, we should not forget to take the name of our host, because if this show is so popular, then also because of the host who plays a major role to make the show hit.
I remember, during Little Champ, Shaan was hosting the show. I can tell about Shaan that he is simply the best and very down to earth person. I appreciate that although he is a very popular and successful singer , but still worked ar an anchor. It shows his greatness and nothing else.

This time Aaditya Narayan is hosting the show and really doing great job. Once again , Zee TV is giving the chance to very young contestants from all over the world. I have heard that participants from ten countries are coming to take part in this competition.

I really wish that this time also Sa-Re-Ga-Ma-Pa will become a great hit.

My First Sports camp (MAHATMA HANSRAJ ARYAN TOURNAMENT)

I am sure that you people will be thinking that what is Mahatma Hansraj Aryan Tournament. If anyone is from D.A.V. Public School, then he/she will not ask. Because every DAVides know about it very well. Firstly, I will tellyou about M.H.R.T - It is tournament organised by DAV Public School every year in the month of September (last week)or first week of October. It is organized at zonal level i.e.- North Bihar Zone and Nepal zone. All the D.A.V. of N.Biharand Nepal zone are invited by the host D.A.V. to take part in this tournament. We call it sports camp.

I was the one from my branch who had always participated in sports. I love all kind of outdoor games, but my main events were Shotput, Discuss throw and Javelin throw (ya, all throw events).

Today, I am going to tell about my experience in sports camp and perhaps it was a Golden period in my life. I had started participating when I was in Std.- 9th and then every year till my last year in school i.e. - 12th standard.

My first sports camp was in Barauni, organised by D.A.V. Barauni. It was five days sports camp and since it was the first time I was going out of my town, my family members were not ready to send me. They were with some wrong impression about this camp. But I got selected by my P.T.I. and it was very well known to me that there is no one in my school who can compete withme. I had a fight with my family members for one complete week. Finally, I had decided to talk to my Grand pa. He was asupremo of our joint big family. And as I was the first child of my family, so people think so many time before telling me -- NO. In other words I can say that I am "Ladli" for everyone. When I had told my Baba ( I call Baba to my Grand pa) aboutthis trip then he had replied in a very loving way that ok, I will talk to your papa and then get back to you. During that time, I was really in tension so in a very straightforward manner I had told my Baba that you can talk to anybody to whom youwant but I want final answer in YES. That time I was little annoyed. Then he started laughing and told my mom and otherswho were there at that time that she will definately go. And if anybody thinks that there is problem in sending her alone, then go for some other solution. Suddenly, smile came on my face and I was behaving with other family members (who were notsupporting me including my mom) like a winner. Really, for me this was like winning a battle when you are fighting alone withso many heads. I have thanked my grand pa with smile and start doing my packing for next battle in sports camp. We had started early morning from the school main gate by bus and reached Barauni at night time. All the students were doinghungama and masti during trip but I was quite. Actually, I was thinking about my events. I was thinking that I am the champof my school but there will be so many participants who will come from different parts of N.Bihar. It was not so simple forme, anything can happen in sports. But I was finding my condition different from others. I had to WIN. I didn't have anyother option as I was the only hope of my P.T.I. and also it was a question of my school reputation as well as my reputationin my big family because almost all were against me at the question of coming to camp for five days. And I had managed tocome after one week of discussion on this topic. I had to clear my way for next year also.

As I have told you, we have reached at night. There were volunteers who had received us and shown our room to keep ourluggages. We all gals were in one room and after taking bath, we all gathered for our dinner. It was arranged in one bigopen place under the tent. There we had seen so many participants, I was looking for the gals from other school who were taking part in my events. In other word , I can say I wanted to see all my competitor. But, it was a very first day in campso we were only with our goup member and teachers.

After dinner while going to our room, we had got time-table for all the events which was going to start from next day morning. We woke up early in the morning, after becoming ready, we had our breakfast at 8 am and then by 9am, we all were in stadium, just adjacent to school. First day, I was free. My event was on 2nd day. I was doing practice and also cheering other participants from my school. I had also got chance to interact with other participants from different school. I had met galnamed mili, she was from D.A.V.Public School, Muzaffarpur. And last year winner of shotput throw. She really looked like asports girl. And the way she throwed the shotput was really scaring me. Her movement before throwing was really good.I was very nervous from inside. I throw in a very simple manner. First day events were over by 6pm and we came back in ourroom. This night was very long for me. I was trying to sleep, but no. Whole night, I was thinking about my events.

In Morning, again after breakfast, we assembled in the stadium ground. My event was supposed to start at 11am. At the exacttime, I was in that part of ground where it was going to start. There were so many participants for this events. There werethree Judges. According to the name in their sheet, they started calling our name one by one. My turn was 13th, so many studentsfrom my school and also some of my classmates were at some distance to cheer me. I had taken my position and I had thrownthat with full power. Distance wise, it was a fantastic throw more than anyone else had thrown. But, someone from other school shouted - DISQUALIFIED. I was shocked and looking at the judge - He had also told that I am disqualified. I left thatplace and after going 100mts from there, I started crying like anything. Then, one of my classmate to whom I treat as my big brother had come to me and asked why You come here?? Now there are two more chances for you, still you can win and hehad also told me that this Gold medal is yours and i have seen the throw of all the girls in the first round - no oneis there wha can compete with you. He had told me to come fast and sing the song "AAJ MAIN UPPER, AASMAAN NICHE....".After listening that there are two more chances for me, I again went there, so many persons were looking at my face. Thistime, I had not moved much but with full power I had thrown the iron ball at the midpoint of the circle, and you willnot believe but this throw had broken all the previous record. It was 7mt-90cmt. All started clapping for me, now there wasno confusion that where this Gold medal will go. It was mine. After event one of the judge had told me to stay for a moment. They wanted to see my capability, althougt they had declared 1st, 2nd and 3rd winner. Then also, they had told me to throwagain and again, and I had seen them noted down something in one diary. I don't know, what was that??

But, it was a great day for me. All team members and my P.T.I. were very happy. My P.T.I. had informed my Principal, he wasalso very happy and announced to give me track suit after coming back to our school.

I had decided not to inform at my home as directly I wanted to show them my Gold Medal. In camp, we had a great time. After five days of camp, we returned back. It was noon time , when I reached at my home. One of my uncle was outside home , I sawhim but ignored as I wanted to give this gold Medal to my Grand pa. It was all because of him. I had entered in his room andtold him that its for you. He became so happy that I can't explain in words. He called all family members and shown my GoldMedal to everyone. That time all were happy and quitely appreciating me. Mom was also very happy and telling everyone on phone that I have won the Gold Medal at zonal level. Everyone at home and evenoutside home were appreciating me and talking about that time when I was fighting with everyone at home for going. Thatmoment was really a Golden moment for me.

GLOBAL WARMING

Global warming, in other words gradual increase in the temperature of the Earth's near-surface air and oceans. In my last blog I talked about change in lifestyle. There is always –ve impact assiciated with +ve. Just like every action has a reaction. Global warming is one example. With so many change in lifestyle, people are moving more towards their outer development. Every one has a dream to have house in centre of the city with good AC car. They cut trees to build their house. One of the main reason behind the global warming is due to increase in greenhouse gases. Trees help us to reduce that. But only fewer people understand this. Some people tend not to understand even though they understand. Gradual climate change may lead to warmer earth and a warmer earth may lead to less rainfall, a rise in sea level. This may affect wide range of plants, wildlife, and humans. We learn about benefit of plants in primary classes. Increased greenhouse gases i.e. CO2, SO2 can create hole in ozone layer. Whoever has gone through primary education, he must understand the benefits of plants. Then why are we hesitant to implement this. When you go to hill stations, you praise about the greenery there. But when you are back to your home town, you forget about it. Why can’t you think of making your town green? The same can be done at your home town also.

Causes of Global warming:
Using CO2 emitting vehicle.
Emission of CO2 from factories and power plants.
CO2 from Airplanes.
Cutting trees. Deforestation.

How can we help :

Reduce power consumption by using low power consuming utilities like CFL. Use solar lamp, solar geezer, Solar heater. Buy electric saver product such as TV, Computer with ENERGY SAVER mark.
Use CNG vehicle. Driving car and auto using electricity is also not a bad idea. Walking small destination will also help you as well as environment.
Do as many plantations as you can. You can also advise others to do the same. Talk to your family and friends and make them aware of global warming causes. Let them know what you have learnt so far.
Recycle plastic bags, used cans, bottles and papers.

NIGHT WITH LIGHT

We all love Nature and Natural beauty. I have not heard anyone saying I don’t love twinkling stars in night, blowing wind, flowing river, moon, flowers, trees , birds and so many others gift of nature. All these things are more than enough to on your mood.

As you now from my earlier blogs that I love writing poem whenever I feel like that, whenever I feel alone, whenever I sit in lonely place for long time, whenever I think about my dream, whenever …………….. leave it.

Today once again I am going to publish one more poem. It is on Nature and its beauty. One summer night, I was alone on my terrace continuously looking at sky . I was enjoying to look at the stars , weather was also very pleasant. And suddenly, I started writing.

Have a look at this poem and you will find it different from previous one .

Light with Night

Whenever I sit on my terrace………
In the moonlit night,
I see glimmering stars
With weak, faint and unsteady light.
Suddenly, a glimpse touches ……….
Inner part of my soul,
I fear with awe and start to investigate,
Is everything okay or is there any hole?
Blowing air touches my hair on the roof,
Slowly and slowly my loneliness disappear,
Wind tells something soft in my ear.
To differentiate it as a dream or reality, I fear.
Twinkling stars, silvery moon and glowing glowworms…
All gives wonderful light in the night.
Just thinking about these , I feel….
The day will come when everyone’s life will become
Happy & Bright.

Data Structure on Sunday

It is really very difficult to go somewhere far away from your home on Sunday, when there are very few buses. And if your are looking for bus from BTM to Electronic City, then be ready to stand at the bus stop for at least 30min. or it may be for long duration. And, if you are waiting for Volvo, then really difficult to get on Sunday. It is my experience.

But sometime, if you want to achieve something then you will have to ready to cross the obstacles which will come in your way of achievements.

Actually, today I want to tell about one of our DS class which was conducted on Sunday by our subject teacher Raman Sir. Firstly, something about Raman Sir ----- No doubt, very good teacher who has knowledge as well as way of expression is also very good. He has ability to make the things clear to us. And, It is for sure that in his class one can not feel sleepy.

On 9th September (Sunday), he had conducted extra class of Data Structure to clear our doubts if any and he had planned to cover one new chapter as we were little behind as per time table given to us. He had told us that he will start the class at 10am and continue till 4:30pm.

On that Sunday morning, I had reached BTM bus stop near to my home at 8:00am. Till 9am, I was waiting for Volvo, but unfortunately I had not got, then I had taken the bus for Silk-Board and again after 15 min I had got another bus for electronic City. Finally, I had reached there , but again not got any auto , then I started walking and reached my institution on time.

He had started the class on time and given us some time to ask about any doubts or difficulties in any chapter which we have already covered. At the beginning, no students were asking any questions , but after some time we had started asking questions and he was trying to clear our doubts. Firstly, he had taught about arrays , linked list, circular queue, trees, etc. At around 1pm , he had given us lunch break and told us to come back at 2:15 pm. But when we returned back, he had asked whether we want to continue the class or not, as there was a cricket match
on that day. Everybody had told ---- NO. Then, he had us leave for that day.

But no doubt, whatever he had taught us was really beneficial. And we all students should be grateful to him that he had spoiled his Sunday and came for our benefits.

Change in Life Style

I remember going market with my Mom carrying a bunch of jute carrybags or a basket in hand. Let it be shopping vegetable or clothes for family. Caary bags are must. But now you go empty handed. The basket has been replaces with trolleys and polythene bags took over jute bags. Even the money has been replaced with plastic money mostly reffered as credit cards or debit cards. Hypermarket took over mandi and malls replaced what we use to call as main market. Even public carriers have improved. Those days we use to have Riskshaw with a man pulling it or cycling it from market to home. Now we have auto rikshaw. Local convience like trains and busses have advanced to AC Busses and underground metro trains. Earlier we use to have market place spread across acres with a section of vegetable market with dirty lanes. But now you just need to enter into mall and infact you get every thing starting from food, sports item, Books, Groceries, Vegetables and anything you can imagine. Just remember to have plastic card or enough cash in your pocket and infact you can buy everything you want.

This was just a dream a decade back but see how fast India has grown. The new era started when our hounerable Prime Minister Mr. Rajiv Gandi brought IT industries into India. Along with IT industries there came loads of foreign currency and that truly changed the life style of India.

People are getting crazy about brands. No matter how much it cost you, if it belongs to your favourite brand, you don’t even give sencond thought. Almost every marketting place or shopping malls you can get your favourite brand showroom. First time when I heard of multi-plex I was surprised. How can you have multiple movies running on the same theatre? The concept of just watching movies has been changed to total entertainment. You get comfortable push back chairs with a coffee tray attached and couple of service men ready to serve you your favourite burger with Pepsi. Once you get out of movie you feel totally relaxed, chanting about various scenes and clips of the movie.

There is also bad part of it. People are getting more careless about their attire. Specially girls getting more fashionable. This give unnecessary invitation to rowdy elements. And also it spoils Indian culture. Hike in prices is other adversity of growing lifestyle because people are getting more careless in spending money. As long as the lifestyle is in our cultural limits, the life is good otherwise it invites a dark future for your siblings.

How safe is Bangalore

Open your today’s news paper or open any of the news paper randomly. I bet there will be at least one case of extortion, abduction, theft, loot or murder. Now the question is, is Bangalore really a safe place to live.

There was a time when place like Koramangala was considered to be a most scary place. Not because of crime, but because of extreme jungle. The whole area was covered by trees forming it a dense jungle and a deserted road going towards Hosur that is still known as Hosur road. The major population was towards MG Road. It was that time only when it came into scanner of IT giants. It has been more liked because of its pleasant weather. As the city started growing, the area like Koramangala had been transformed to concrete jugnle from green forest. The city has suddenly picked the growth. It has really become a tough task to handle the people landing every day in the city. The expansion is going all around the city. IT giants like Intel, Google, Yahoo, Microsoft, Oracle has major infrastructure setup. Malls like Forum, Garuda has brighten the city. So far there has been 4-5 malls and many hyper markets are on its way. There has been significant progress in last 10 years. But as the city progress by, there also been progress in disturbing elements. Recently one of the BPO girl has been murdered by office cab driver. BPO’s have girls coming in night shift but they are bit careless in terms of their security. Yet another incident where home alone old couple have been robbed in day light. Plenty of incidents has happened in Outer ring road where a person driving his car have been stopped by mob and looted. Ofcourse if you compare the number of cases as compared to other city like Mumbai, Kolkata, Delhi and Chennai, the number are comparatively less. But that doesn’t mean we should feel happy and proud. Crime is Crime and even a single crime put the city in crime list.

Government must take step to get rid of crime. Places like outer ring road should be kept under frequent patrolling, specially during night time. BPO’s have to be instructed to send office personal along with every Cab driver. Security in malls has to be increased. Whenever there is a bomb blast in other cities, security has been increased but as time goes by, security also goes away. This type of ignorance may lead to major casualities some day.

Is reservation really a must

Reservation, a very hot topic now a day. I remember when Mandal commision was first time came into effect under Hounerable V.P. Singh government. Whole India was burning. Students were burning themselves to not to not to implement mandal commision.

Reservation has divided people of India into 2 classes. One falling under reservation category and other, which doesn’t. The mandal commision had been established somewhere around 1948 to support those who were mostly backward based on caste. Even father of India, Gandhi ji wanted supported Harijan community. I am also not against reseravation. But before we support based on caste, Government of India must reconsider who is getting benifitted out of it. Is it really them who really needs it or is it the one who are already doing well. I have met one Brahmin in Delhi railway station. He was not in reservation category yet it was difficult for him to arrange for 3 time food. Yet another example where an upper caste person is some how managing to survive his family. He is not getting resevation because he doesn’t fall in the caste under reservation list. I even know people who are considered as upper middle class or upper class family but yet he is getting benifitted out of reservation. Now question here is, whether the formula used by the government is the correct one i.e. based on caste or it should be based on the poverty line. In my opinion, we should give reservation to only those people who are falling below poverty line. They are the one who really need favour. Not the one who are benifitted just because they belong to reservation caste list. Before independence, british tried to divide us based on religion and now government trying to put another level of discrimination based on caste.

Thanks to law of India who interfered in between and put a hault in yet another attemp to increase the reservation list. They are the one who questioned government on what basis they are planning to increase the reservation list. Premier institution like IIM and IIT should be kept away from reservation list. They are the future of India and it should remain untouched. I have heard that govt. is think a step ahead to put reservation in private companies also. I am not sure how successful will that be but if it really comes into effect then future of India will not be that good. On one side everyone is imagining India as super power by 2030 but issues like this will take India back to 20 years and dream will remain dream. I will again reemphasise on reservation to be given to only those who really need it. Not to those who are already doing good.

CHAK DE

OOH – AAH INDIA ------ OOH AAH INDIA
CHAK DE INDIAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
VANDEEEEE MATARAM

Yes, it was a scene of M. G. Road on 24th September.

24th September, 2007 --- A Great Day for India.
A great day in Indian history as under the captainship of Mr. M. S. Dhoni, India has won the Twenty 20 World cup.

On 24th, we all friends had made plan to watch the final match of Twenty-20 between India – Pakistan together. And from my institute, I directly went to Marathalli as we had planned to gather there. We had enjoyed whole match with Chips, mixture and pepsi.

Last three over ----------- My God !!!!!! It was really crucial moments for us. Anything could happen. We all were praying to God – “pls. jeeta do”.
And finally we won !

We all were very happy and started burnig crackers. We all were hugging each other.
The great Indian team make Indian proud.

While returning from our friend’s home, we have got opportunity to celeberate the success of Indian Cricket team with so many people. Ya, we were crossing from M G Road but stopped to celebrate the success with so many Indians. MG Road was crowded with so many heads , dancing, making noise and hoisting our National Flag. I can’t express that feeling in words. But it was really great to see all young gals and guys, middle age people and also old people together on MG road, celeberating the success without knowing each other personally but with the great feeling of being an Indian. My hubby and I were also among all those people. Till midnight , we were there, dancing with the crowd, congratulating all those who came across our way. That day, all people were only Indians – not those persons who come from different religion and different cast. That time they all were only INDIANS. I had also seen people coming from car is celebrating with auto driver, hugging and congratulating each other. And that time, I was very happy to be an Indian.

Last but not the least, I want to congratulate Great Indian Cricket Team who have made us very proud. And thanks to Mr. Shahrukh Khan for his support and presence during cricket. I feel that his presence make the difference.

CHAK DE INDIA

MEET

Hi All,
I have again come with my second poem. In previous blog,I have already told you people when a
normal person becomes poet.I have written this poem when I have come to know that he has gone to Singapore to join Singapore branch office. It was uncertain that he will come back or continue there only. That timeI was in 1st year graduation (2001) .Even you people will not believe but it is very true that --- that time I was not sure thatI am in love or not, but there was a likeness. I was impress with his achievements. And I am a person who always admire everything which I feel is good. But one day, I was missing him and wanted to meet him. And in his rememberance, I had written this poem.
Read & Enjoy ---- If you feel sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.
MEET
======================
My Love is far away.......
To meet with him,
I am finding the way.
My heart has to go a mile or two....
To meet with him
Will any one give some clue?
My soul always wait ......
To meet with him,
For this, will I have to give some rate?
My mind always look ahead....
To meet with him,
But only his dreams come on the bed.
My God will help me, I feel...
To meet with him
The only thing which says my inner - will.
Hey, its end now. End of poem - not end of my story. Actually, it was the beginning!!!!!

My Heart's Choice

In this world, you will find differnt persons with different nature - thinking - opinions . But it is very true that there could be some special moment in your life that will change your entire life style.

You know -- when it happens?????????????????????

Ya, very true --- when you feel that you are in love.

I believe - it is the only thing that can change your life. Only thing that will help you to become better. All those who are in true love can never think anything bad because they don't have time for all these things. True lovers know only that "love" which is not demanding , which is not selfish.

Today, in this blog , I am going to share one very special moment of my life. Don't worry, I will not bore you to tell the entire story of my life.

First tell me one thing --- have you ever heard about the person who see dreams with open eyes. If not, then today I want to tell that I belong to that category. Ya, I see dreams with open eyes but I don't keep condition that it should fullfill. I know there are very few lucky persons in this world whose all dreams become true. But it doesn't mean that one should stop dreaming if his/her dreams are not yet fullfill.

Be positive ---- one day--- "Dreams come true".

Now, I am going to share one of my poem that I had written when I was in 12th standard. That time, I had fallen in love with one name --- I had heard about a guy and his achievements in very young age from his Maternal Uncle (who was my neighbour and my father's friend) . And this impress me a lot and I myself don't know how I had written this poem.
Just have a look ->
"My Heart's Choice"

I know just only his name
bcoz it is the only thing
in my heart's frame.
To wipe his memory
I tries my best
but I see him
in everything east or west
when I close my eyes
I see his face everywhere
There is none in universe
A like soul to compare .
My every heartbeat
recognises his voice
And waits for a glimpse
He is my heart's choice.

Luckily after five and a half years I had got chance to meet with him. And near about after six years I got married with my heart's choice. THE RAIN AND THE DRAINAGE SYSTEM

How can anyone forget the rain that lashed Mumbai and halted everything to a standstill and has broken all records. This became evident as reports came in of deaths and drowning, several landslips and of dangerously high water levels in rivers

Large parts of Mumbai were stranded on railway platforms, roads and offices, at the airport and even in schools and colleges. The city went without electricity and telephone. While the local trains pause in the middle, all the major roads were jammed with vehicles.
We cannot just simply blame the rain for all the damages. The drainage system of Mumbai had played equal role in that.

The same is the situation in Bangalore. Even if it rains for 2hrs in the city, it becomes overloaded with traffic. Every road and street will be fully packed with vehicles. And it becomes worse during peak times. The garden city becomes a night mare. Traffic all over the city simply pauses. Motorists are too scared to move - they could not see where the roads ended and the drains began.

On your way to home you will definitely stuck in traffic jam and mostly because of flood. In 2005, Madiwala was the worst area where the flood water demolished couple of boundary walls on series of cars parked on the otherside of the wall and entered into basement parking leading to severe losses to car owners.

While poor drainage system plays a major role, its the encroachers who are also responsible for blocking the drainage.

In last one year government has done well to improve the road condition but the fact is that without proper drainage the roads will not survive longer. All the money which has been spent till date on infrastructure will go in waste. While government putting his effort on improving Bangalore’s infrastructure, its people of Bangalore who can also contribute to their cities improvement. Ofcourse, nothing can be done in one day but we still expect people to be more responsible and government to take a step ahead on improving the drainage system.

Nuke deal : pros and cons

The most awaiting deal in world history. As India readies to step ahead for the deal, many analyst including political parties started giving there own views to the deal. .

The nuclear cooperation deal signed between India and USA during Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s visit to America in July 2005. Some analysts, mostly from the NPT (non-poliferation) arena in the US, have seen it as the first step towards NPT. Whereas analysts in India have accused the Indian government of getting under pressure to American.

Some of the basics in the deals are :

The deal will encourage the nuclear weapon capabilities of India

The deal lead China to enter into the same kind of agreement with other nations like Pakistan.

Though India has still not signed the NPT treaty, it will enjoy all the privileges available under the NPT even without signing the treaty.

India has already been declared nuclear power, and it has never been done anything that goes against non-proliferation treaty. For this India needs to be trusted and rewarded rather than questioned and punished.

If international nuclear fuel is available, the cost of producing electricity will also come down and will be within the affordable range.

There is nothing in the deal that stops India to continue with it reactor programme independently. India can build up as many nuclear reactors as it wants for its security purposes.

India has not given any commitment to sign the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty, which even US and China have signed.

Of course, there are a few conditions, which may be strict in nature, that have to be adhered to. But to gain something you must loose something. And here you are always in win win situation.

The Fond Memory.

The planning started somewhere around 3 months back from the date of Anniversary. Out of 4-5 option we decided for Ooty. We booked the ticket and waited eagerly for the date of departure. But the day was miserable. It was around 3:00 PM when it started raining heavily in Bangalore. And you all know the traffic in Bangalore, that too after rain. It was raining continuously and we were stuck in the traffic. There was no way around other than praying God. And they say, God listen for those who calls him by heart. We reached on time.

We started around 10:30 PM from Bangalore. We wished each other on the bus itself. The next day morning when we opened our eyes, we could not see outside. The reason you know very well, it was too chilly outside and the window glasses were full of water droplets. Anyway, we reached early morning. Since the booking was all done, we went directly to the hotel. After refreshment, we had our favorite breakfast as Idly and Dosai. Don’t laugh. It’s the truth.

Being a tight schedule, we could not afford to spend time on sleeping. As soon as breakfast was over, we took the guide chart and planned for the start point as temple. They say, it’s a very old temple of Goddess Durga (Chamudeshwari) the Goddess of Power. We visited the place. After that we had some window shopping. Before we could plan out anything more, it started raining heavily and we were just stuck in the rain. Anyways, some how we managed to come back to hotel. We booked a table in Taj for dinner. We did mention the reason also. When we reached there, it was an awesome feeling. The table was all decorated with flowers and balloons. A beautifully decorated cake was lying in the middle with a firmly standing candle in the middle. We both cut the cake and wished each other again. We had some photographic session and lovely dinner.

The next day was really pleasant. Cold breeze with shining Sun making it very comfortable. That day we all went to Connoor, 35 kms from Ooty. The place is famous for tea gardens. Infact, Mumtaz the famous Hindi movie actress owns the most part of the tea garden. It was all green. I had never been to such a place before. So for me, it was like a heaven. We spent the whole day in side seeing.

Next day was for Filmi chakkar, which means the places where various movies has been shot. I never wanted to come out of that place but we had to cope up with time.

The 3rd day we were back to Bangalore with plenty of good memories and a wish the visit again in near future. I shared it with all my friend and it now you who I have been sharing “The Fond memory”.

An emphatic Journey to Shiva Samudram

Let me tell you about Shiva Samundram first : Shiva Samundram, a splendid water fall. The Cauvery river tumbles majestically down the Shivasamudram Falls, also called the Shivanasamudram Falls. Located in Mandya district in Karnataka state, the Shivasamudram Falls has twin jumps, Gaganachukki and Bharachukki, one km away from each other. Torrential rains in the Cauvery basin and the flooding of the river Kapila added more power and lustre to the beautiful scene.

We (My husband and I) started early morning on our power bike "Royal Enfield". I was really happy to go for a long drive to a place that is 150 Km from Bangalore. I remember that it was just to sunrise when we started. I can still feel the chilly and fresh air. The aroma of flowers. We first went to nearby petrol pump, got the tank full, got the air pressure checked on both the wheels and started for the journey. All the way I was just wondering how it would look like. I had just heard about it. On single stretch we drove to 80 Kms and then stopped on a road side dhaba. We had tea and Idly as our breakfast. Then we resumed again. Being a pillion rider, I was enjoying the road side view as well as the speedometer. I remember, it was never below 90 Km/hr untill we were in Mysore Road. Then from Mandaya, we took left towards Shiva Samundram. The condition of the road was not that good still we could manage to drive +70 Km/hr.

And finally finally finally, we reached the lovely watching tower. We were standing on the watchtower viewing the falls along the banks of the river Cauvery. From the watchtower, one can view the falls where the river plunges downward in a wonderful cascade, sending up dense clouds of mist, presenting a breathtaking scene. We sat on one of the stone benches overlooking the falls which plunges to a depth of 300-350 ft. Shivasamudram falls is the second biggest water falls in India. This was Gagana Chukki fall.

Bhara Chukki lies a km or so away from Gagana Chukki. After spending an hour in Gagana Chukki, we started for Bhara Chukki. We parked the bike and followed downstairs. The stairs were carved from stones. On the way we could clearly hear the sound of water hitting stones with its maximum velocity. And then i was standing in front of the fall. I cannot explain my feeling in words. It was truely romantic. I just cannot resist myself going into water. It was really warm. We covered the rocky surface of 5 mtrs and reached the middle where a rock was standing firmly. We sat on the rock for almost 30-40 mins. Legs were touching the warm water. Then we had our lunch.

Shivasamudram is also famous for its hydro power station which was started in 1902 by Sheshadri Ayyar, a dewan of Mysore. This is said to be the first hydro power station in Asia and from here power was supplied to Bangalore -- the first city to get power in India - in 1906 and then to Kolar Gold Fields and Mysore.

Around 5:00 PM we started from there and reached home around 9:00 PM. Had our dinner on the way in Kamath.

Thats all for now. I will again back with my next trip to Ooty, and that was my first anniversary.

U KNOW ???????????????

The Red Fort has finally found a place in UNESCO's list of World Heritage sites. You know - It does come as a surprise, given that the last time the Red Fort was under consideration. Its candidacy had been rejected because UNESCO did not have confidence that the ASI could meet maintenance standards.

Any visitor to the Red Fort knows that the Structure is magnificent. One can easily notice Red Sandstone, the tricolor, large fields , green grass, flowers and the palpable sense of being in the midst of history .................... it is all there.
But how many people (visitors) take care of it. Do they give importance ?????????????????
A closer look, however, reveals the unfortunate tendency of the average Indian to literally spit in the face of heritage. I am not able to understand that why they can't understand the importance of this heritage. Isn't it precious for us??

This is the real tragedy of the commons in India : what belongs to everyone actually belongs to no one. While most Indians keep their homes clean, they think nothing of dirtying their neighbourhoods, roads or even monuments. For some people - public places are not to take pride in, but to dump our garbage and use as open-air toilets.
Our treatment to these buildings reflects our immaturity and lacking in civic sense.

Announcing Red Fort's inclusion in the list, UNESCO described it as representative of Mughal creativity. But the present day Red Fort owes more to the modern India's creativity than anything else. Yes, I am talking about the "Nakasshi" by General Public.

Once I had heard from my Great Grand pa that the fort was designed as an imitation of paradise as described in Qur'an, a couplet inscribed in the palace reads "If there be a paradise on earth, it is here, it is here".

I AM NOT SURE ------------------ ABOUT THE INDIAN IDEA OF
PARADISE.

Leo Tolstoy : The Calendar of Wisdom

This was Leo Tolstoy's last major work. With it , he fulfilled a dream he had nourished for almost fifteen years, that of "collecting the wisdom of centuries in one book" meant for a general audience. Tolstoy put a huge amount of effort into its creation. It was his own favourite everyday reading.

In 1884, he had decided to collects ---- "A wise thought for every day of the year, from the greatest philosophers of all times and all people". He wanted to create a circle of reading for himself. According to him - This is also necessary for all people.

In one letter, he had told his assistant that " I know that it gives one great inner force, calmness, and happiness to communicate with such great thinkers as Socrates, Epictetus, Arnold, Parker .......... they tell us what is most important for humanity, about the meaning of life and about virtue............ I would like to create a book ............. in which I could tell a person about his life, and about the Good Way of Life."

You know, Tolstoy had worked for fifteen years to collect these thoughts. He began writing between December 1902 and January 1903. He took the thoughts collected from a very large number of works and collections. He indicated the author of each thought beneath it. In some cases. he translated these thoughts not directly from their original sources, but from a translation from the languages in which they became known to him, so sometimes his translations might not be completely identical to the originals. When he translated thoughts by German, French, or Italian thinkers, he did not strictly follow the original. He had always tried to make it shorter and easier to understand, and omitting some words.

In his book " The Calendar of Wisdom" he has written Golden thougts for every day . He has started from January 1 to December 31.

According to Tolstoy, if everyday people read this thought (only one page everyday) and try to implement it in their life ----- they will really feel good from inside and they will become good human being.

All the thoughts are very alive and fantastic .Here, I am writing one or two of my favourite thoughts from his book "The Calendar of Wisdom" .

1) God exists only for those who looks for him. Start looking : you will find him in you and yourself in him.
Fyodor Strakhov

2) The secret of happiness? Enjoy small pleasures.

All The Way From Allopathic To HomoeoPathic

Hahnemann - Father of Homoeopathic .

Dr. Samuel Hahnemann was born on April 10, 1755 in a very beautiful town of Germany -- Meissen.
His father Christian Gottfried Hahnemann, together with his mother, Johanna Christiana, born Spiess, for a pastime taught him to read and write. He was a brilliant man and also it is said that he was a person to whom we can say full of Determination. He was fond of learning different languages and at the age of twenty two years, he was master of Greek, Latin, English, Italian, Hebrew, Syriac, Arabic, Spanish, German, and some smattering of Chaldaic.

I have read one book which was written for Dr. Hahnemann By Thomas Lindsley Bradford, M.D, one line of that book is here -:
"It is said that when he wished to understand anything in a language with which he was not familiar he at once commenced the systematic study of that language".

Don't you think that it was a amazing quality.

In his college, he was unwittingly preparing himself for his great future.
He remained in this hospitable haven for one year and nine months, when he was able to gratify his desire to obtain the degree of physician. On August 10, 1779, he received the honorable title of Doctor of Medicine.
But, when he started prcticing medicine , he was not very satisfied with his work. Hahnemann was very soft from heart. It was really unbearable for him to see the patients in poor condition. He was also worried about the side effect of medicine and treatment which they provide because their peculiar effects have not yet been examined, and so easily occasion death, or produce new affections and chronic maladies, often more difficult to remove than the original disease. Above all the pain and cry of patients -- totally unjustice.

He then decided to discover something that is painless and have no side effects and he then made several successful experiments with Homoeopathic medicine, which necessarily still further excited his attention to the subject, and favorably convinced him, that Homoeopathia could not be thrown aside with contempt, but was worthy of a rigid investigation.
And in this way, he has discovered Homeopathic medicine ---- blessing from his side to our society.

And completed his journey from Elopathic to Homeopathic, thats why he is known as a "Father of Homeopathic".

My School Days

Full of Masti, full of Hungama --- ya, my school days were really full of enjoyment. Imagine, when anyone is surrounded with friends -- friends who are motivating, helping and belong to the category on whom you can rely anytime.
Teachers - Understnding & Inspiring. Some were really strict but most of them were helping with friendly attitude. Can't forget my Library teacher who had given me the name " Golden Girl of the School" and ya 100% concentration of My PT sir who were always ready to spend 6 continuous hours for my practice during Sports camp. And how can I forget my class teacher
who was also my Chemistry teacher -- sweet, friendly but sometime she behaved really boring, you know when she sounds like that - obviously, during Deepawali when we played with crackers and its sound came from rest room and from the small garden which is just behind the Principal office. Then, she started to give lecture that we shouldn't do this. And we told it "Nasihat". But, it doesn't mean that we didn't respect her. Still, I respect her. All my school teachers are very respectable for me.
In my school, with studies there were so many extra-curricular activities - Dance program, Drama, Debate Competition, and many more things. I loved to participate in all school activities. Have attended Vedic camp (organise during winter vacation) and the best part of my School was Sports camp. It is organized at the zonal level (North Bihar and Nepal Zone) every year. And we call it MHRT(Mahatma HansRaj Aryan Tournament). As a sport girl, I have attended all sports camp during my schooling and won several Gold Medals in Shot-put, Discuss and Javelin. And bcoz of this my Library teacher had given me the name of "Golden Girl". All the moments that I had spent in sports camp are really unforgettable for me. There I got the chance to become the most popular girl among all the participants. I can not forget the moment when got my first Gold medal - The Golden Moment of my Life.
Hey, can anybody live without falling in love , I mean to ask first crush especially if it is co-ed.
There were so many guys who had proposed me, but I liked a guy who was my dance partner in almost every dance competition and dance program. But it was very well known to me that luv before 17 or 18 is just infatuation ---- so, I had never told him about it. Still, he is very good friend of mine . And, I am happy bcoz today I know --- that was not love but likeness. I can say this because today I know who is my true love????????????????
At last, I can say that nothing could be better than School Life . Isn't it??
Sometime, I think --Can't be it possible to go back in our past .......................................
