CHAK DE

OOH – AAH INDIA ------ OOH AAH INDIA
CHAK DE INDIAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
VANDEEEEE MATARAM

Yes, it was a scene of M. G. Road on 24th September.

24th September, 2007 --- A Great Day for India.
A great day in Indian history as under the captainship of Mr. M. S. Dhoni, India has won the Twenty 20 World cup.

On 24th, we all friends had made plan to watch the final match of Twenty-20 between India – Pakistan together. And from my institute, I directly went to Marathalli as we had planned to gather there. We had enjoyed whole match with Chips, mixture and pepsi.

Last three over ----------- My God !!!!!! It was really crucial moments for us. Anything could happen. We all were praying to God – “pls. jeeta do”.
And finally we won !

We all were very happy and started burnig crackers. We all were hugging each other.
The great Indian team make Indian proud.

While returning from our friend’s home, we have got opportunity to celeberate the success of Indian Cricket team with so many people. Ya, we were crossing from M G Road but stopped to celebrate the success with so many Indians. MG Road was crowded with so many heads , dancing, making noise and hoisting our National Flag. I can’t express that feeling in words. But it was really great to see all young gals and guys, middle age people and also old people together on MG road, celeberating the success without knowing each other personally but with the great feeling of being an Indian. My hubby and I were also among all those people. Till midnight , we were there, dancing with the crowd, congratulating all those who came across our way. That day, all people were only Indians – not those persons who come from different religion and different cast. That time they all were only INDIANS. I had also seen people coming from car is celebrating with auto driver, hugging and congratulating each other. And that time, I was very happy to be an Indian.

Last but not the least, I want to congratulate Great Indian Cricket Team who have made us very proud. And thanks to Mr. Shahrukh Khan for his support and presence during cricket. I feel that his presence make the difference.

CHAK DE INDIA

MEET

Hi All,
I have again come with my second poem. In previous blog,I have already told you people when a
normal person becomes poet.I have written this poem when I have come to know that he has gone to Singapore to join Singapore branch office. It was uncertain that he will come back or continue there only. That timeI was in 1st year graduation (2001) .Even you people will not believe but it is very true that --- that time I was not sure thatI am in love or not, but there was a likeness. I was impress with his achievements. And I am a person who always admire everything which I feel is good. But one day, I was missing him and wanted to meet him. And in his rememberance, I had written this poem.
Read & Enjoy ---- If you feel sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.
MEET
======================
My Love is far away.......
To meet with him,
I am finding the way.
My heart has to go a mile or two....
To meet with him
Will any one give some clue?
My soul always wait ......
To meet with him,
For this, will I have to give some rate?
My mind always look ahead....
To meet with him,
But only his dreams come on the bed.
My God will help me, I feel...
To meet with him
The only thing which says my inner - will.
Hey, its end now. End of poem - not end of my story. Actually, it was the beginning!!!!!

My Heart's Choice

In this world, you will find differnt persons with different nature - thinking - opinions . But it is very true that there could be some special moment in your life that will change your entire life style.

You know -- when it happens?????????????????????

Ya, very true --- when you feel that you are in love.

I believe - it is the only thing that can change your life. Only thing that will help you to become better. All those who are in true love can never think anything bad because they don't have time for all these things. True lovers know only that "love" which is not demanding , which is not selfish.

Today, in this blog , I am going to share one very special moment of my life. Don't worry, I will not bore you to tell the entire story of my life.

First tell me one thing --- have you ever heard about the person who see dreams with open eyes. If not, then today I want to tell that I belong to that category. Ya, I see dreams with open eyes but I don't keep condition that it should fullfill. I know there are very few lucky persons in this world whose all dreams become true. But it doesn't mean that one should stop dreaming if his/her dreams are not yet fullfill.

Be positive ---- one day--- "Dreams come true".

Now, I am going to share one of my poem that I had written when I was in 12th standard. That time, I had fallen in love with one name --- I had heard about a guy and his achievements in very young age from his Maternal Uncle (who was my neighbour and my father's friend) . And this impress me a lot and I myself don't know how I had written this poem.
Just have a look ->
"My Heart's Choice"

I know just only his name
bcoz it is the only thing
in my heart's frame.
To wipe his memory
I tries my best
but I see him
in everything east or west
when I close my eyes
I see his face everywhere
There is none in universe
A like soul to compare .
My every heartbeat
recognises his voice
And waits for a glimpse
He is my heart's choice.

Luckily after five and a half years I had got chance to meet with him. And near about after six years I got married with my heart's choice. In between this long period I had also written few more poems . I will come to you with my next poem which I had written when he was in Singapore and I was in my home town Patna .

Far away from him........................... .

THE RAIN AND THE DRAINAGE SYSTEM

How can anyone forget the rain that lashed Mumbai and halted everything to a standstill and has broken all records. This became evident as reports came in of deaths and drowning, several landslips and of dangerously high water levels in rivers

Large parts of Mumbai were stranded on railway platforms, roads and offices, at the airport and even in schools and colleges. The city went without electricity and telephone. While the local trains pause in the middle, all the major roads were jammed with vehicles.
We cannot just simply blame the rain for all the damages. The drainage system of Mumbai had played equal role in that.

The same is the situation in Bangalore. Even if it rains for 2hrs in the city, it becomes overloaded with traffic. Every road and street will be fully packed with vehicles. And it becomes worse during peak times. The garden city becomes a night mare. Traffic all over the city simply pauses. Motorists are too scared to move - they could not see where the roads ended and the drains began.

On your way to home you will definitely stuck in traffic jam and mostly because of flood. In 2005, Madiwala was the worst area where the flood water demolished couple of boundary walls on series of cars parked on the otherside of the wall and entered into basement parking leading to severe losses to car owners.

While poor drainage system plays a major role, its the encroachers who are also responsible for blocking the drainage.

In last one year government has done well to improve the road condition but the fact is that without proper drainage the roads will not survive longer. All the money which has been spent till date on infrastructure will go in waste. While government putting his effort on improving Bangalore’s infrastructure, its people of Bangalore who can also contribute to their cities improvement. Ofcourse, nothing can be done in one day but we still expect people to be more responsible and government to take a step ahead on improving the drainage system.

Nuke deal : pros and cons

The most awaiting deal in world history. As India readies to step ahead for the deal, many analyst including political parties started giving there own views to the deal. .

The nuclear cooperation deal signed between India and USA during Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s visit to America in July 2005. Some analysts, mostly from the NPT (non-poliferation) arena in the US, have seen it as the first step towards NPT. Whereas analysts in India have accused the Indian government of getting under pressure to American.

Some of the basics in the deals are :

The deal will encourage the nuclear weapon capabilities of India

The deal lead China to enter into the same kind of agreement with other nations like Pakistan.

Though India has still not signed the NPT treaty, it will enjoy all the privileges available under the NPT even without signing the treaty.

India has already been declared nuclear power, and it has never been done anything that goes against non-proliferation treaty. For this India needs to be trusted and rewarded rather than questioned and punished.

If international nuclear fuel is available, the cost of producing electricity will also come down and will be within the affordable range.

There is nothing in the deal that stops India to continue with it reactor programme independently. India can build up as many nuclear reactors as it wants for its security purposes.

India has not given any commitment to sign the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty, which even US and China have signed.

Of course, there are a few conditions, which may be strict in nature, that have to be adhered to. But to gain something you must loose something. And here you are always in win win situation.

The Fond Memory.

The planning started somewhere around 3 months back from the date of Anniversary. Out of 4-5 option we decided for Ooty. We booked the ticket and waited eagerly for the date of departure. But the day was miserable. It was around 3:00 PM when it started raining heavily in Bangalore. And you all know the traffic in Bangalore, that too after rain. It was raining continuously and we were stuck in the traffic. There was no way around other than praying God. And they say, God listen for those who calls him by heart. We reached on time.

We started around 10:30 PM from Bangalore. We wished each other on the bus itself. The next day morning when we opened our eyes, we could not see outside. The reason you know very well, it was too chilly outside and the window glasses were full of water droplets. Anyway, we reached early morning. Since the booking was all done, we went directly to the hotel. After refreshment, we had our favorite breakfast as Idly and Dosai. Don’t laugh. It’s the truth.

Being a tight schedule, we could not afford to spend time on sleeping. As soon as breakfast was over, we took the guide chart and planned for the start point as temple. They say, it’s a very old temple of Goddess Durga (Chamudeshwari) the Goddess of Power. We visited the place. After that we had some window shopping. Before we could plan out anything more, it started raining heavily and we were just stuck in the rain. Anyways, some how we managed to come back to hotel. We booked a table in Taj for dinner. We did mention the reason also. When we reached there, it was an awesome feeling. The table was all decorated with flowers and balloons. A beautifully decorated cake was lying in the middle with a firmly standing candle in the middle. We both cut the cake and wished each other again. We had some photographic session and lovely dinner.

The next day was really pleasant. Cold breeze with shining Sun making it very comfortable. That day we all went to Connoor, 35 kms from Ooty. The place is famous for tea gardens. Infact, Mumtaz the famous Hindi movie actress owns the most part of the tea garden. It was all green. I had never been to such a place before. So for me, it was like a heaven. We spent the whole day in side seeing.

Next day was for Filmi chakkar, which means the places where various movies has been shot. I never wanted to come out of that place but we had to cope up with time.

The 3rd day we were back to Bangalore with plenty of good memories and a wish the visit again in near future. I shared it with all my friend and it now you who I have been sharing “The Fond memory”.

An emphatic Journey to Shiva Samudram

Let me tell you about Shiva Samundram first : Shiva Samundram, a splendid water fall. The Cauvery river tumbles majestically down the Shivasamudram Falls, also called the Shivanasamudram Falls. Located in Mandya district in Karnataka state, the Shivasamudram Falls has twin jumps, Gaganachukki and Bharachukki, one km away from each other. Torrential rains in the Cauvery basin and the flooding of the river Kapila added more power and lustre to the beautiful scene.

We (My husband and I) started early morning on our power bike "Royal Enfield". I was really happy to go for a long drive to a place that is 150 Km from Bangalore. I remember that it was just to sunrise when we started. I can still feel the chilly and fresh air. The aroma of flowers. We first went to nearby petrol pump, got the tank full, got the air pressure checked on both the wheels and started for the journey. All the way I was just wondering how it would look like. I had just heard about it. On single stretch we drove to 80 Kms and then stopped on a road side dhaba. We had tea and Idly as our breakfast. Then we resumed again. Being a pillion rider, I was enjoying the road side view as well as the speedometer. I remember, it was never below 90 Km/hr untill we were in Mysore Road. Then from Mandaya, we took left towards Shiva Samundram. The condition of the road was not that good still we could manage to drive +70 Km/hr.

And finally finally finally, we reached the lovely watching tower. We were standing on the watchtower viewing the falls along the banks of the river Cauvery. From the watchtower, one can view the falls where the river plunges downward in a wonderful cascade, sending up dense clouds of mist, presenting a breathtaking scene. We sat on one of the stone benches overlooking the falls which plunges to a depth of 300-350 ft. Shivasamudram falls is the second biggest water falls in India. This was Gagana Chukki fall.

Bhara Chukki lies a km or so away from Gagana Chukki. After spending an hour in Gagana Chukki, we started for Bhara Chukki. We parked the bike and followed downstairs. The stairs were carved from stones. On the way we could clearly hear the sound of water hitting stones with its maximum velocity. And then i was standing in front of the fall. I cannot explain my feeling in words. It was truely romantic. I just cannot resist myself going into water. It was really warm. We covered the rocky surface of 5 mtrs and reached the middle where a rock was standing firmly. We sat on the rock for almost 30-40 mins. Legs were touching the warm water. Then we had our lunch.

Shivasamudram is also famous for its hydro power station which was started in 1902 by Sheshadri Ayyar, a dewan of Mysore. This is said to be the first hydro power station in Asia and from here power was supplied to Bangalore -- the first city to get power in India - in 1906 and then to Kolar Gold Fields and Mysore.

Around 5:00 PM we started from there and reached home around 9:00 PM. Had our dinner on the way in Kamath.

Thats all for now. I will again back with my next trip to Ooty, and that was my first anniversary.
